PX150

PX150 began with the restriction of building every letter from the same small set of units. The point was not to imitate a screen or make a nostalgic pixel font. It was to see how far a limited vocabulary could carry a typeface with a voice of its own.

The grid gives every character a shared beginning. From there, proportion, rhythm and the spaces between forms do the work that smooth curves usually do.

The DISP axis pushes those units beyond the grid, shifting each letter between a rigid pixel structure and a volatile field of particles.
